Through the support of Reach A Village and NEXT, New Life Ministries spearheaded the implementation of a capacity-building workshop for values education advocates who have been tasked to do the meaningful work of teaching and reaching out to public school students in the Philippines.

In a world where the foundations of education are continuously evolving, the integration of values education with literacy skills stands as a critical necessity. Organizations like Reach A Village, New Life Ministries, and Philippine Values Education Program, Inc., are creating new pathways to reach and change the next generations using the Word of God.
By empowering local leaders through capacity-building workshops that enhance the spiritual and academic growth of public school students, more families and communities from very vulnerable groups will be touched by the Gospel. During the training, all participants have been guided how to utilize the Manga Bibles as pedagogical tools to leverage the Manga Messiah beyond its traditional role in evangelism.
Through the training held at NLM’s office in Saitama, Japan, key leaders of PVEPI have learned to integrate the Manga Messiah in their educational programs, community initiatives, and upcoming volunteer and training efforts.
These PVEPI local leaders are ready to change more lives and create more leaders through the stories of the Bible.
An essential aspect of the initiative was a recent immersion tour in Japan, which offered participants timely insights into effective teaching strategies and best practices in values education.
Activities included team-building exercises and a tour of the NLM factory, showcasing how Bibles are actually produced. Such experiences not only enriched all training participants but also strengthened their commitment as a team to integrate these insights back into their local communities.
The feedback from participants was overwhelmingly encouraging. The training addressed a wide scope of content, covering essential topics like lesson planning, teaching methods, personal healing, team-building, and biblical approaches to classroom and behavior management.
Participants found the training relevant, aligning perfectly with their mission field realities. The participants recognized the potential of training in expanding their results in terms of leading more people to Christ.
Empowering local leaders is fundamental to sustainable community development, especially in education and reaching the lost through the Word of God. Through initiatives like those offered by Reach A Village, New Life Ministries/NEXT, and the Philippine Values Education Program, Inc., local leaders are being equipped to create lasting change.
By integrating values education with literacy, we are not just teaching students; we are shaping future leaders who will carry these Bible-based lessons into the world.
New Life Ministries is a non-denominational Christian ministry committed to serving the Lord by printing and sending Bibles and Gospel literature to Japan and the rest of the world, in each people group’s heart language.
Beginning in 1954, under the name New Life League, the ministry reached out to children, provided Gospel literature, and did evangelism through radio broadcast.
Later on, the work shifted more to the collection and printing of Gospel literature as the main focus.
Throughout history, there has always been a call for the supply of Bibles, and New Life Ministries has continued to do all that it can to meet the demand. Our purpose is to see Japan changed for Jesus, and that the whole world be filled with His precious Word.
