Bibles for Ukraine

Bibles for Ukrainian Refugees

The sudden invasion of Ukraine, which began in February, has now displaced an estimated of 10 million refugees to neighboring countries such as Poland and Norway, as well as within Ukraine.
In Norway, our branch New Life Ministries Norway has joined local Christian organizations and churches in supporting the incoming refugees since early March.

Bibles for the Ukrainian Refugees

Among the many needs of the refugees, NLM Norway and New Life Ministries have also set out to fulfill the need for the Bible, as part of our mission.

Ukrainian refugee girlDaily necessities such as food and clothing are essential, but in the middle of unrest, sorrow, unresolved anger, hopelessness, and fear, people are also in need of the Word of God, the source of life.

To the people affected by the war, we have the possibility of offering the Bible, which gives life, hope, and rest. As well as having an eternal value, we believe it is urgently needed.

Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

25,000 copies of the Ukrainian Bible

As a first step, NLM Norway and New Life Ministries have decided to print and send 25,000 copies of the Bible in Ukrainian. These Bibles will be distributed by NLM Norway in cooperation with local churches and Christian organizations.

We are also working on translating the Manga Messiah into Ukrainian as soon as possible.

Because of the urgency of the situation, there are difficulties in procuring paper, scheduling printing and securing the means of delivery. We’re also unable to foresee our available funding. But whatever it takes, we are working towards meeting this need as soon as possible.

We need your support

The funds needed for delivering Ukrainian Bibles to Europe are $1.47 per copy. With $8.15 we can send five Bibles.
We ask for your prayers and support to ensure that the necessary funding is met and that all printing, shipping, and local arrangements are carried out smoothly and securely.

ABOUT US

New Life Ministries is a non-denominational Christian ministry committed to serving the Lord by printing and sending Bibles and Gospel literature to Japan and the rest of the world, in each people group’s heart language.
Beginning in 1954, under the name New Life League, the ministry reached out to children, provided Gospel literature, and did evangelism through radio broadcast.
Later on, the work shifted more to the collection and printing of Gospel literature as the main focus.
Throughout history, there has always been a call for the supply of Bibles, and New Life Ministries has continued to do all that it can to meet the demand. Our purpose is to see Japan changed for Jesus, and that the whole world be filled with His precious Word.
